Why Pay Interest — Klarna

Why Pay Interest — Klarna

In 2020 alone Brits paid £5.7bn in credit card interest and fees. That’s a lot of money. The traditional banks are built on misaligned incentives, profiting from people missing payments and charging interest rates that are sky-high.

Klarna couldn’t stay silent and wanted a campaign that let people know that there’s an option to not pay interest or fees.

In a campaign across the UK, we told Brits that we don’t want their interest. The campaign also emphasized the things they could spend their money on instead of interest and fees. From cabs with our message parked outside banks to billboards and other contextual stunts, Klarna made people question #WhyPayInterest.
